The fourth in the Belize Cultural Celebrations Series, this video documentary highlights the religious, cultural and social tradition of the San Joaquin Fiesta in San Joaquin Village, Corozal District in Belize. The Fiesta honours the village’s patron saint, San Joaquin, with novenas, a mass, and culminates in a grand fair. The documentary includes interviews with community members and local experts who share the fiesta’s history and meaning.
